What is your favorite summer activity? Is it watching a movie, reading a book, going to the pool? Well, I like to visit places, you know why??? I have a lot of fun, I spend time with my family, and I also learn new things.
I like visiting science centers. I learned the concept about how airplanes fly, how rockets are launched into space against the gravity, in The National Air and Space museum, Washington D.C. I learned about The Bernoulli Principle, what it is, and how it works. When I visited the Franklin Institute, I was mesmerized by Dr. Benjamin Franklin’s various inventions and was inspired by his personality.
I like history and art too, so museums are a big part of my ‘sight-seeing’. In the art galleries, I admire the marvelous paintings of great artists. Historical museums help me relate the past with the present and educate me about our rich heritage and culture. In the Lincoln Memorial, I was spellbound when I saw the plaque about Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream “speech.
Amusement parks! Nobody of my age could resist that. I feel a high on roller coasters, especially the big, looping ones. I hardly even notice the time passing. I enjoy to the core, feel very light, happy, free and energetic as if I could bend the sky. I get to eat great and variety of cuisines which I have never tried before.
I also like to visit places to break my routine and to rejuvenate myself. I photo capture the places I visit and frame them as memories in my brain and relish them later on. I strongly believe that the varied experiences when visiting places mold a person and motivate him or her to be better and strong human to face the day to day real life situations.
