My Dream Job — Saisiddharth

Do you know what I see when I look up at the elegant, starry sky? I see stars and planets… stars and planets waiting to be discovered. This is one of the many reasons I cherish a career as an astronaut. Being an astronaut is my dream job because I love to learn about space, and I want to discover and learn more about it. Also, as an astronaut, Til be able to board the International Space Station [ISS]. There I can take breaks from missions and relax, but I can still try out experiments and learn more about our solar system. By being an astronaut, I’ll also be able to follow my dream to find out whether aliens exist. In the future, we’ll probably be able to discover whether other species like us exist in this solar system.
One of the reasons I cherish a career as an astronaut is because I want to learn more about the universe we live in. I have so many questions I want to have answered… questions that can only be answered by exploring space. By being an astronaut, I can learn a lot about the universe and what it contains. And that’s what I hope to do in the future.
Being an astronaut automatically enables you one free trip to the biggest space station ever created, the ISS! Launched as a module in 1998,20 countries began to build it in the hopes of creating the greatest space station of all time. They succeeded in 2010, and now ISS is a station where astronauts can take a break from missions, try out experiments, and stay healthy.
Do aliens exist? The Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence [SETI] is doing as much as they can to find out. We’re not sure yet, but later perhaps we can catch an alien signal from outer space in our solar system and send a probe to the area. The probe might give us vital information! As an astronaut, I would have once-in a-lifetime chance to find out whether aliens exist. I have always dreamed about making friends with aliens, and being an astronaut may push me forward toward that dream. It would be cool to have an alien friend.
What lies beyond our solar system? Humans don’t know yet. Right now, we can only explore a tiny bit of our solar system, but in the future, who knows how far we will go? In the future, as an astronaut, perhaps I can discover more about the universe than I’ve ever known before. I might even meet some aliens…
