Rebecca raced home, her skirt bobbing in the sunlight and her hair flipping in the hair with her sunny and shy personality. She unlocked the door, so ready to meet her stepmom, standing in front of her was a tall woman with her brown hair tied up in a bun with a red metal phoenix in her hair. She looked like she had a very expensive dress, red and black. Her face was emotionless. Next to her was a girl who looked about a year older than Rebecca. She had short blond hair and the same phoenix on her t-shirt and jeans, looking grimly at Rebecca as she shoved a mop into Rebecca’s hands. Rebecca’s smile instantly faded away. “Now go swab the master bedroom. From this day onwards you will serve me and my daughter. You will be sorry if you object.” she said as she walked away with her head held high. Rebecca lingered upstairs confused as she started cleaning the master bedroom. Why had her stepmom been talking total nonsense? Sort of like she was an evil stepmom, but Rebecca couldn’t think like that about her stepmom. Rebecca, tired when to her room. She stopped short. Her room was decorated with a big sign that said “Kate”. Her posters were taken down and replaced by pictures of skulls and the same phoenix. Rebecca was cross.

That was the final straw. Cleaning, then dealing with her room being taken away from her was too much. She stomped downstairs and went to her stepmom who was comfortably sitting on the couch, mixing something in a glass bottle. Rebecca had always thought of the worst stepmom and feared her, but this time she was going to face her.”Listen,” said Rebecca. Rebecca’s stepmom quickly turned her head to Rebecca. “I don’t want to be treated like this, I want to be treated like a daughter.” Rebecca thought those words were powerful enough, but obviously not. Her stepmom pointed her finger at Rebecca’s head. Rebecca clutched her head and it felt like all the happy thoughts had been sucked out of her. “AAAAAAAAAHHHHH” she yelled. Her stepmom dragged her to Kate’s room and was about to lock the door when she said “ Didn’t I tell you that you would be sorry?” she said with an evil laugh as she quickly locked the door.

Rebecca’s head was still searing with pain. She started to sob. Partly because of the pain but mainly because in her head she could see the worst dream. Her stepmom herself being terrible and evil. Her stepmom murdering was all she could see, but she didn’t know what. Rebecca sobbed until she felt like she was going to dehydrate. Suddenly she was blinded by a blazing white light. Rebecca thought she was fainting, but she wasn’t. Then out of the light came something that looked like about 10 tooth fairies. The light stopped and Rebecca screamed.
“NO, STOP! STOP!” yelled the tallest fairy. Rebecca stopped right near the phone, ready to call 911 just incase something happened. “Are you Rebecca? Rebecca Brooklyn?” said the tallest fairy in a soft voice, trying not to scare Rebecca.
“Yes.” Rebecca started inching a little closer to the phone. Rebecca stood there, stunned for a while. How could she have fairies in her room?

“I’m Regal,” said the fairy. “And these are my younger 10 pixie sisters, training to be fairies, just like me.”
“Yeah!” said a fairy in the background, and little giggles after that. Rebecca was still stunned. “Hello?” said Regal waving her tiny hands in front of Rebecca’s big, green eyes. Rebecca decided to test it out. “Okay,” said Rebecca. Her head was hurting so she tried that first.
“Make this pain in my head stop.” Regal beckoned her sister, Holly the pixie to try. With the snap of her fingers Rebecca’s head was filled with instant relief. All those happy thoughts came back to her. Rebecca was impressed. She patted Holly’s head as she blushed. “Turn my room back into what it was.” Sneha the pixie pointed the finger and the job was done. Rebecca made a couple more wishes as she bonded and had fun with the pixies.Rebecca then requested a big cake to celebrate. Since this was so complicated, Regal granted her wish. From a complicated motion of her fingers a triple layer pink-frosted chocolate cake appeared in front of her eyes. While all the pixie and Rebecca dug into the cake. Regal introduced everybody, “This is Holly, Lauren, SeoYoon, Nikita, Krusha, Dhanya, Mitali, Lillian, Anvita and Amrita.” “Okay.” said Rebecca who was only paying half attention to what Regal was saying. “Uggh!” groaned Regal who saw Rebecca wasn’t really caring and the cake suddenly disappeared. Everyones faces were wiped clean. “Aww!” groaned the pixies and Rebecca.

“Listen up!” yelled Regal crazily. “We’re here to defeat your stepmom!” The pixies shook their heads approvingly and got serious. “What did my stepmom ever do to you?” asked Rebecca, ready to hear something horrible. “Your stepmom locked up all the fairies in prison! Now we’re the only ones left to save Fairy World!”
Rebecca was startled, and almost about to laugh, but she realized this was serious. They were sent on a task and they were here to fulfill it. “Then count me in!” said Rebecca bravely. Regal smiled and said, “Then I guess this is team Rebecca and Regal!”

“Yay!” yelped and whooped the pixies. Rebecca looked outside the window and realized it was late at night. Rebecca yawned. “Now all I want is dinner.” said Rebecca sleepily. Nikita the pixie quickly whipped up some chinese take out for everybody. Once everybody ate as much as they could hold, Regal used her powers to make 11 tiny little beds on the window sill. On the night table next to the window sill she poofed up a bigger bed for herself. She tucked in the little pixies and gave the naughty pixies who were yapping to each other a lecture on how important sleep is.
Rebecca herself was tired so she flopped onto her bed and she went right to sleep. The next morning she was woken by tiny hands stretching her big eyes open. “Okay, big day!” said Regal, stuffing a bite-size pancake into Rebecca’s mouth. “ Today we investigate our enemy, and that’s and order soldier!” yelled Regal like she was the general of our little army. Regal told Sneha the pixie to poof us up some army uniforms. After a couple of tries, the pixies, Regal, and Rebecca were snapped wide awake and in army uniforms. “Wait!” cried Rebecca. “My step mom thinks I’m locked in here, what if she sees me?” Rebecca questioned.
“Good point,” said Regal. “Anvita, make us invisible!” commanded Regal. All the pixies and Regal gathered on Rebecca’s head to get a better view. With a couple of Anita’s air punches, they were completely invisible.

They couldn’t even see each other, but Rebecca knew all the pixies were safely sitting on her head. Rebecca tested it out. She looked in the mirror, and it looked like the room was old and abandoned. “Good job Anvita!” said Rebecca. Before she knew it, Rebecca was down the stairs. She thought she heard someone say “There’s the hag!” and little pixie giggles after that followed by Regal scolding them to be quiet. Finally, she was facing her stepmom.

Her Stepmom was sitting comfortably on the couch with a glass tube that had a purple mixture in it. Kate was sitting next to her stepmom holding fairy wings! “That’s why we need to defeat my stepmom!” thought Rebecca. She felt Lillian the pixie climb onto her ear. “Regal said that we should go back to your room.” said Lillian. Rebecca quickly leapt up the stairs and climbed into her room. She went through the door and with a blink of an eye they were visible again. Regal was pacing around her table, looking a little red and a little green. “If we don’t do anything all the fairies and pixies will be dead! We need to defeat the hag!”

Regal now looked like she was going to explode. “I think you should lie down.” said Rebecca. Mitali the pixie puffed her a bed on the table and SeoYoon the pixie helped Regal lie down and swished her up a glass of water. “Tomorrow, we’ll defeat your stepmom once and for all!” said Regal and before you knew it, time flew by and the silent of the night came.

The next morning again, Regal was stuffing French toast into Rebecca’s mouth. She and everybody else was back in their army uniforms. “Ugh!” groaned Rebecca who just wanted some sleep. The next thing she knew, she was teleported somewhere by Lauren the pixie. “Welcome to Fairy World.” Regal said to Rebecca. Rebecca stared at the land. It wasn’t how Regal described it. The ground was dry and fairy wings were scattered everywhere. Rebecca was furious. She could not tolerate her stepmom killing fairies for some weird potion. Krusha the pixie looked a little green when she saw the fairy wings. “Is that what’s going to happen to us?” Amrita the pixie demanded to know. “No,” said Regal confidently. “No. We are going to fight it! We must save every last fairy on fairy world!” Then Regal started yelling out super weird orders like “Mitali, kick butt!” After the weird orders everybody was off the spot and in a freaky cave.

Her stepmom was in the cave and the second she saw the pixies and Regal they were sucked into a large purple bubble. “Help! Help!” yelled the little pixies. Rebecca was devastated. “Now, “ said her stepmom. “You don’t have any magic, so you can either join me or die.” she said to Rebecca, her arm stretching out at her. Well, atleast she thought Rebecca had no magic. “Never underestimate a black belt in Karate.” said Rebecca and she kicked her stepmom in the . . . well, I’m pretty sure you don’t want to know. Her stepmom was clutching on to the spot where Rebecca had kicked her and Rebecca kicked and punched her a couple more times. Rebecca never kills anyone, and she never had the power to, but she would do anything to save the fairies. Then, the surface of the bubble broke, and Regal rushed over to Rebecca’s stepmom and pointed to her brain. At that moment, everything wisped out of her stepmom. Regal sucked out all of her stepmoms thoughts, information, and memories and put them into a sealed flask. The women was now as clean as a slate. Regal poofed her somewhere.

“Where did you take her?” Anvita the pixie asked. “To Wisconsin, so she can start her life again, never knowing she was evil. When they walked outside the cave, fairies were roaming everywhere. All the fairies came out of hiding and were smelling the the fresh air. Fairy world looked truly beautiful now, and even more beautiful once a blazing light hit the pixies. “What’s happening?” Rebecca panicked. Regal smiled. “My little pixie sisters are turning into fairies!” Regal was right. The pixies wings were expanding, their pink tutu’s were gone and were replaced by different color satin dresses, similar to Regal’s. In their hair they now had a golden star. Once the light was gone, Sneha exclaimed, “Hey, we’re fairies!” and all the fairies whooped and danced around and were starting to act like grown up fairies. They were not as mischevious but they would always remain that way in Rebecca’s heart.
